• J.Lo to J.Lowe

J.Lowe, a dear friend of mine with a courageous dancing streak - he could quite easily be confused with the super star J.Lo; his caterpillar moves and hip flinging abilities are destined for the world stage. Snapped this photo the other day. I pretended we were listening to this in the car.

  • THE HUNT

Here is a sneaky photo of some bunny's shot during the event. Woah, I know! For the past few weeks newspapers have been screaming that the Calci Virus no longer works... And this picture, just shows how many are out there. I went for a drive, minus the shooters, nearing the end of the competition and the hills were still crawling!! I don't think they made a dent in the population. The boys did some serious work though huh?

The rain held off till Saturday evening, thankfully, then boom, it bucketed down. Perhaps it was a spiritual cleansing. The priest from the Arrowtown Catholic Church said that the Pascal Candle's flame went out in the night (due to the damp air possibly). However, it made me think - perhaps the Easter Bunny really did get nipped. If Father had never seen this before, maybe it was a holy sign? I mean Mary Mackillop is being made a saint there at the moment, chances are pretty high! I don't go to Church very often so I couldn't whip out my camera, but boy oh boy do I wish I had!

Currently downloading the footage and beaming.

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH TO ALL THAT HELPED ME DURING THE SHOOT! LOVE YOUR WORK!

  • SHOOTING

    SHOOTING IS TOMORROW!

The ute has been dusted, and the gear has been packed. Easter Biscuits, Chocolate Brownies, Lemon Cake, Shepherds Pie and Baby Bacon and Egg Pies are making my tummy grumble, loudly. Mmmmm Thank You Mama! Multiple thermas' await our caffeine dependancy and everything is hopefully ready for action! The weather forecast predicts a downpour in the mountains tomorrow night, so packing an umbrella or two just in case.

Starting at 5am tomorrow, my mini film crew will drive to Alexandra to meet with The Great Easter Bunny Hunt's expected 468 Bunny Hunters, and Alexandra Lions Foundation organiser Dave Ramsay. Yeeha!

    Can't wait to start filming!

  • Lets go a-hunting!

    Whippee!

My new film is based on rabbit hunting in Central Otago, New Zealand. It is in pre-production and this, this brand spanking new site, is where to keep up to date with all the blows and (fingers crossed) victories.

Do let me know if you have any rabbit stories, contacts or sneaky ideas that could aid this film.

The site will be padded out over the next few days. THANK YOU FOR TAKING A LOOK!
